#WhenInNorway : Please Walk On The Roof

If you read my previous post about my trip, then you know that the Oslo Opera House was one of my top five sights to see and experience in the city. I guess the best way I could describe it is that it’s one part art installation, one part arts complex for public use. The Opera House is truly remarkable, in its design and intended function, because it encourages people to use and experience the entire space, almost completely by design, both inside and out, and from street level to rooftop.

Transition to Fall, In Color & Style

It’s funny – the older I get the more I gravitate towards colors I had once written off as being “not me.” Orange, for example, used to be one of those colors; until, of course, I found this suede and faux fur coat from ZARA. Oslo In October : Shopping Edit

I know I haven't spoken about this much, but I'm taking a weeklong trip to Oslo, Norway this October! It's only about two weeks away now, so I'm starting to get myself ready. How Do We Create Trends?

As someone who has been fascinated with fashion and design for most of my life, the topic of “trends” is something I frequently think about. Understanding whether or not an idea is going to stick significantly affects my purchasing behavior and, consequently, my general livelihood. And I, like most, can’t possibly afford to purchase everything that appears to be relevant through the various media channels I interact with — designer or otherwise.
